Reasons for breast augmentation in Stuttgart
There are individual reasons for an operation to enlarge the breasts.
- Breasts perceived as too small
- Achieving a harmonious body image and thus increasing well-being.
- Strain on the breasts from pregnancy, breastfeeding or intensive sports (such as strength training and bodybuilding), leading to loss of volume and sagging tissue.
- Genetic developmental abnormalities of the breast (e.g. tubular breasts) that lead to an unattractive breast shape or undesired differences in size (breast asymmetry).
Our quality standards
Individual advice, trust, expertise
Breast augmentation in my practice is the right choice for you if you value a detailed consultation, services tailored to you personally and natural results. Various surgical methods are available for changing the appearance of the breasts, and combined procedures with a simultaneous breast lift and corrections of the areola and nipples are also possible. As a specialist in plastic surgery with many years of experience, my own practice and exclusive surgical facilities in selected private clinics, my practice differs significantly from the structure of a large clinic in Stuttgart. My practice structure and philosophy aim to meet the individual needs of my patients in full. It is very important to me that you feel comfortable and supported throughout our cooperation, from the first consultation through the operation to the last follow-up appointment.
When it comes to your breast augmentation in Stuttgart, you can rely on my more than 16 years of experience, and I will be at your side with all questions about your breast surgery in Stuttgart. During my career, I was able to gain in-depth insights into all areas of modern breast surgery at renowned institutions in Germany and abroad, such as the breast center in St. Gallen, Switzerland. That is why I offer not only breast augmentation but also services such as breast reduction or breast surgery with autologous fat.
The consultation
In my surgical work, the constant refinement of my own techniques is particularly important. But not only the operation itself – the best possible preparation and aftercare for your breast augmentation in Stuttgart are also extremely important. In the consultation, which lasts about an hour, you will learn about all the properties and differences of breast implants. We clarify which implant size, implant shape and position make the most sense for you, taking your circumstances and wishes into account. You will learn that in the case of a pure breast augmentation without a lift, drains are required in very few cases, and in which cases a special compression bra is advisable. The course of the operation and complete cost transparency go without saying. My trusting cooperation and constant exchange with international specialists and expert committees guarantee that the most advanced and gentle procedures are always used for your body.
As your exclusive doctor and contact person, I am always at your side and offer you first-class service that exceeds that of other private practices and clinics in Stuttgart. You receive an overall concept from a single source that gives you maximum safety for your healing process and aftercare. I see us as a team, and I am your partner who will support you carefully and trustworthily on your way to your final result.
Surgical technique for breast augmentation with implants
Numerous different surgical techniques are used for breast augmentation in order to achieve an optimal, natural and, above all, stable result. There are various access routes and ways of inserting and placing implants in the breast, or of gently unfolding a glandular body that may be “trapped” by internal ligaments (e.g. in tubular breasts) over the breast implant. The shape and projection of the breast implant also play an outstanding role.

Implants for breast augmentation
When choosing the right breast implants, safety, tolerability and durability come first. Choosing a product from a reputable, well-known manufacturer has proven its worth, as these manufacturers all work to very high quality standards today. In particular, leak-proof and shape-stable (so-called cohesive) silicone gel is used as the filling substance. Not all breast implant manufacturers give a lifetime guarantee on their implants, although this should be standard today. The implants from the German company Polytech Health, which I offer exclusively, do have such a guarantee and also impress with a large number of other advantages, which I will explain to you in the following sections and above all in the personal consultation.
As implants for breast augmentation are medical devices, they must meet prescribed safety standards and have the corresponding certification. You can recognize this by markings such as the CE mark and/or a stated certification according to DIN standards. Unfortunately, not all facilities use these demonstrably safe and tested implants, which still leads to major and, above all, unnecessary problems today, for example when implants have to be removed prematurely.
Which implants are used for breast augmentation in Stuttgart?
For many years, when choosing breast implants, I have relied exclusively on the products of POLYTECH. This renowned German company not only meets the strictest safety standards but also stands out from many others with its outstanding product quality. In addition, POLYTECH has the most extensive range of breast implants, which means that individual needs can be taken into account as well as possible. For you as a patient, this means not only maximum safety with regard to the quality of the chosen implant but also additional trust, strengthened by the manufacturer's transparent information about the place of production and the entire production chain.

In addition, thanks to my many years of experience, I am able to offer you not only all common implant types but also PU (polyurethane)-coated implants and very light B-Lite implants. These are characterized by particularly high shape stability and durability, or by a significantly lower weight compared to conventional implants.
Handling these implant types and surfaces requires a great deal of experience and thus expertise. In Germany, only a few specialists in aesthetic plastic surgery are familiar with the use of polyurethane-coated or B-Lite implants.
In principle, an experienced breast surgeon must master the appropriate surgical technique for inserting, positioning and securing the position of every implant. When using breast implants from well-known manufacturers and adhering to surgical standards, major problems are not to be expected with breast augmentation in Stuttgart. Every property of an implant has its own advantages, so a textured or micro-textured surface can also make a lot of sense. In my practice, you have access to a wide range of options so that we can work out the best possible concept for you.
What are polyurethane-coated implants?
Thanks to their special coating, polyurethane-coated implants offer decisive advantages over conventional implants. They reduce the risk of capsular contracture, as the polyurethane layer promotes a softer and more flexible tissue capsule. They also ensure better fixation in the tissue, which guarantees a more stable position of the implant and gives a natural feel. These properties make them particularly attractive for patients who value safety and an aesthetically pleasing result.
Trial implants
Individually adapted to you
After precise measurement of your breasts and appropriate explanation, trying on trial implants of different volumes is an integral part of my consultation. While many 3D simulations are touted as advanced tools, these trial implants offer you the advantage of getting a realistic picture, directly on your body and in front of the mirror, above all of the expected breast volume. The exact shape and final appearance of course result from the chosen implant shape, the position of the implant and the surgical technique used.
In this way, possible doubts or uncertainties regarding the volume for your breast augmentation can be dispelled in advance and a realistic picture of the result conveyed. It may well be that I advise you against a particular implant type, implant volume or implant surface if the tissue conditions or the shape of the breast require it, or if another implant will give us a more beautiful and safer result. Depending on the implant surface and technology (e.g. B-Lite / lightweight implants) (but not the volume or the shape!), different costs may arise for your breast augmentation, which will be presented to you transparently. I always recommend an implant to the best of my knowledge and for the most stable and harmonious result possible. In the end, however, you make your well-considered decision and have the choice!

Position of the implants
- Submuscular placement (under the muscle): The implant is placed largely under the chest muscle (pectoralis muscle) (dual-plane / multiplane technique). Thanks to the secure upper and inner soft-tissue coverage, this method protects against palpable or visible implant edges, can achieve more natural and harmonious results and in some cases reduces the risk of capsular contracture (hardening of the tissue around the implant). This position is particularly suitable for very slim builds or when the upper tissue coverage is insufficient. Because of the comparatively more secure soft-tissue coverage and greater shape stability, I prefer this position and usually recommend it.
- Subglandular placement (above the muscle, under the mammary gland): The implant is placed directly behind the mammary gland tissue but above the large chest muscle. This position allows larger implant volumes and can make sense for special shape abnormalities of the breast, as the implant exerts direct influence / pressure on the glandular body. However, it is only suitable if there is sufficient soft-tissue coverage in the upper breast region. Without muscle, the implant lies behind the glandular body alone. If the tissue there is too thin, implant edges can become palpable or, in unfavorable cases, even visible. I therefore only recommend this position to patients whose own tissue allows it.

Incision techniques for breast augmentation in Stuttgart
The implants can be inserted via various surgical access routes. These are determined as part of an individual consultation.
- Inframammary (breast fold): The incision is placed along the line of the inframammary fold.
- Periareolar (around the areola): Here the incision is made at the edge of the areola.
- Transaxillary (armpit): The incision is made in the armpit.
For my breast augmentations in Stuttgart, I prefer the inframammary approach, in which the skin incision is placed in the natural breast fold (under the breast). This technique allows the gentlest access for the tissue and particularly precise placement of the implants. It also leaves an inconspicuous scar which, in most cases and with appropriate scar care, is barely visible. You will receive further information about this during the consultation.
Surgical planning
After the personal consultation, I take enough time for a comprehensive analysis of your breasts and your perceptions. This includes not only a thorough physical examination but also detailed measurements. I pay particular attention to your individual build and the special features of your proportions. The aim of this thorough evaluation is to get an accurate picture of your physical circumstances in order to develop and secure the best possible recommendations for you. This allows us to achieve a harmonious result that matches your wishes.
Breast augmentation with autologous fat
Surgeons use the term augmentation mammaplasty to cover various treatment approaches. Silicone gel implants, which are characterized by tolerability and shape stability, are usually used for breast augmentation. In addition to breast augmentation with implants, however, alternative options such as treatment with autologous fat are also available. So-called lipofilling can be used both as a sole method and in combination with implants. In this case, it is referred to as hybrid breast augmentation. This technique is a good way to ensure particularly well-tolerated and at the same time natural-looking transitions.

The autologous fat breast augmentation procedure
In breast augmentation with autologous fat in Stuttgart, fat cells are taken from another part of the body and then processed. To harvest the fat cells, liposuctionis performed. This is usually done in the lower abdominal region or on the side of the thighs, where excess fat can be found. Thanks to modern liposuction methods, healthy fat cells can be harvested in this way. While these cells are processed in a laboratory environment, they are prepared for breast augmentation and can then be injected into the desired location. The transplantation is carried out using a cannula that is inserted multidimensionally into the mammary gland tissue. The fat is carefully injected in different directions both in front of and behind the mammary gland tissue. Care is taken to distribute the fat cells evenly so that they connect well to the blood vessels and receive nutrients.
What needs to be considered with breast augmentation using autologous fat?
It should be noted that the body's own cells must always be handled very carefully. The fat cells in particular are very fragile before they have healed properly into the breast tissue. The amount that can be injected per session is therefore limited. The cells react particularly sensitively to pressure and other mechanical irritation. As a result, only a certain proportion of the injected fat cells ever heals into the tissue, even when the procedure is performed by extremely experienced surgical staff. This makes it clear why, despite careful treatment of the tissue, some of the fat cells injected into the breast do not heal in properly. That is why several sessions are often necessary to achieve the desired volume or a symmetrical shape.
Once the autologous fat has healed in as desired, however, you can look forward to a particularly harmonious result. This is because the body's own fat cells are very similar to natural breast tissue, so the impression remains authentic even with weight fluctuations and aging.

What are the requirements for breast augmentation with autologous fat in Stuttgart?
For breast augmentation with autologous fat to be possible, the following requirements should be met:
- Having a certain amount of body fat deposits in the form of fat pads
- Avoiding tobacco or nicotine before and after breast augmentation is advisable, as it can encourage complications
- Wearing a Stuttgart belt for four to six weeks after the operation
When is augmentation mammaplasty with autologous fat recommended?
Treatment with autologous fat is a highly individual form of breast surgery, which is why a correspondingly personalized analysis of your circumstances and wishes is necessary.
- For slight breast augmentation (about one cup size)
- Compensating for small irregularities
- Small adjustments to the breast
Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in treating the breast with autologous fat, which is why your treatment is carried out by a competent, experienced expert.
Which procedure is right for me?
Breast augmentation with implants or breast augmentation with autologous fat? In an individual consultation, you will receive all the information about the procedures. The consultation also includes a physical examination, during which the surgical options are discussed with you. The decision for a particular procedure should always be made on a well-founded basis and in the best interest of your health.
After breast augmentation in Stuttgart
Professional aftercare for your well-being
Planning and performing breast augmentation in Stuttgart is only one part of the entire process. After the surgical procedure, intensive and continuous aftercare is essential. To meet this standard, I will look after you closely for a period of one year after the operation. During this time, I am not only available to you at the agreed regular follow-up appointments, but I also invite you to contact me at any time (including by phone) with questions, concerns or uncertainties.
In this phase, I want to be at your side as a companion and confidant who, like you, strives to achieve the optimal result. I will be happy to help you with advice and tips which, together with your active cooperation, will contribute to achieving the best possible result. Of course, this also means that I must be able to count on you to follow my instructions and recommendations consistently. This includes, for example, avoiding certain activities in the first period after the procedure and understanding what you can do without any problems in the first days and weeks. You can already find much of this information on this website. In addition, you will receive a detailed information document from me to serve as a guide.

Risks of breast augmentation
As with any surgical procedure, breast augmentation involves certain risks, side effects and possible complications, which I would like to explain to you openly and fully before the procedure.
- Temporary swelling: Swelling and redness of the breasts are normal in the first few weeks and usually subside within two to four weeks.
- Numbness: After the operation, numbness may occur in the area of the breast or nipples, which subsides within a few weeks to months in most patients.
- Increased sensitivity: During the healing phase, the skin on the breasts and nipples may react more sensitively than usual. This usually resolves on its own.
- Capsular contracture: Here the body forms a connective tissue capsule around the implant, which can harden in rare cases. However, polyurethane-coated implants, such as the POLYTECH implants I use, have been shown to reduce this risk.
- Changed breast sensitivity: Rarely, sensation in the breast changes, especially at the nipples. Sensitivity either increases or decreases. This usually resolves again; in individual cases it remains permanent.
- Infections: As with any operation, bacteria can enter the fresh wound and cause an infection. However, clean surgical conditions, the highest hygiene standards and consistent aftercare keep the risk very low.
- Implant displacement: Implants can shift over time, making the breasts look asymmetrical. However, polyurethane-coated implants reduce this risk, as they integrate better with the surrounding tissue and therefore remain more stable in their position.
- Fat resorption: With breast augmentation using autologous fat, the body may break down part of the transplanted fat again. Minimal irregularities in fat distribution are also possible.

The costs of breast augmentation vary greatly and depend on various factors. They start at €6,500, but the total costs are determined individually depending on the surgical procedures required and the final choice of implant, and are presented to you transparently. These costs include the surgeon's fee, the costs of the implants, use of the operating room and the costs of specialist staff, all dressing changes and complete preparation and aftercare for 1 year. Frequently asked questions about breast augmentation
Will health insurance cover the costs of breast augmentation?
As a rule, statutory health insurers in Germany do not cover the costs of breast augmentation, as it is usually an aesthetic procedure carried out for cosmetic reasons. Such procedures are not considered medically necessary, which is why the costs usually have to be borne by the patient.
However, there are exceptional cases in which cost coverage may be possible. This can be the case, for example, for medical reasons. In the case of severe psychological distress, cost coverage can also be examined with the help of a comprehensive psychological report.
Where does the operation take place?
I work with first-class private clinics in the Stuttgart area to ensure your safety, health and comfort during your stay. These clinics offer the highest medical standards, excellent care and outstanding comfort.
Depending on availability, you will receive a single room with a private bathroom. Both medical and non-medical staff look after you attentively, and in the event of a medical problem you are in the best hands. I look after you personally before and after your operation and am also available at night if required.
Do the implants have to be replaced after a certain period of time?
Yes, breast implants are generally not designed to last a lifetime and may need to be checked or replaced after a certain time. It is often recommended to have implants checked about every 10 to 15 years.
However, the actual timing depends on various factors, such as the type of implant, the manufacturer's recommendations and individual circumstances.
How long does breast augmentation in Stuttgart take?
Breast augmentation surgery usually takes between one and three hours. The exact duration depends on several factors, for example the chosen implant and the surgical method used.
Are scars visible after breast augmentation?
Scars can develop after breast augmentation, but they usually fade considerably over time. Their exact appearance depends on the chosen incision technique and on individual healing processes.
Careful aftercare can also have a positive effect on scarring.
From what age can breast augmentation be performed?
In Germany, breast augmentation for purely aesthetic reasons may only be performed after the age of 18, because full legal capacity is required. Medically, it also makes sense to perform the procedure only once breast growth is complete, which most young women reach at around 20 or 21.
For medical indications such as pronounced breast asymmetry or a tubular breast deformity, surgery may in some circumstances be performed earlier. In any case, a detailed consultation and a well-considered decision remain prerequisites, which is why I take plenty of time in the first consultation to discuss your motives and expectations carefully with you.
How much does breast augmentation cost in Stuttgart?
In my practice, the costs of breast augmentation start at around €6,500 and then depend on individual factors, above all the chosen implant type and the surgical procedure used. Premium implants such as polyurethane-coated or particularly light B-Lite implants can increase the total accordingly.
The fee includes the surgeon's fee, the implants themselves, use of the operating room including specialist staff, all dressing changes and complete preparation and aftercare over one year. Anesthesia and any overnight stay are billed separately by the clinic. You will receive a complete and transparent cost plan from me in advance, so there are no hidden items.
How many years do breast implants last?
Modern breast implants last much longer today than they did two decades ago. The POLYTECH implants I prefer to use even come with a lifetime manufacturer's guarantee, which is by no means a matter of course in the industry and speaks for the quality of the products.
In practice, this means that as long as the implant causes no complaints and imaging check-ups remain unremarkable, there is no compelling reason for replacement. Regular check-ups every few years are recommended to check the position and condition of the implant. Today, implants are replaced when there is a reason, for example in the case of capsular contracture or if the patient's aesthetic wishes change over time.
When is the best time for breast surgery?
There is no single ideal time for breast augmentation, as many individual factors play a role. From a medical point of view, there is much to be said for planning the operation at a stage of life when family planning is largely complete, because pregnancy and breastfeeding can change the breast tissue significantly again.
Experience shows that many patients find the cooler months from autumn to spring particularly pleasant, because the supportive sports bra is easier to wear at these temperatures and swelling subsides more quickly. It is important that you allow enough time for recovery, ideally at least one week of complete rest and about six weeks without sports. Sufficient time should be allowed before important private or professional events such as a wedding, so that you can enjoy the final result in a relaxed way.
Can I still breastfeed after breast augmentation?
In the vast majority of cases, breastfeeding is still possible without any problems after breast augmentation, because the glandular tissue and milk ducts are not damaged in a professionally performed operation. The chosen incision technique and the position of the implant play a decisive role.
The inframammary fold approach I prefer is particularly gentle on the milk ducts and glandular tissue, because no incision is made at the areola. Placing the implant submuscularly under the pectoral muscle is also advantageous with regard to later breastfeeding, as the implant does not lie directly against the mammary gland. Nevertheless, I cannot give you an absolute guarantee, because even without any operation not all women can breastfeed without problems. If you are planning a pregnancy soon, we will discuss this in the consultation and adapt the surgical strategy accordingly.
How safe are breast implants?
Breast implants today are medically very well researched and strictly regulated medical devices with CE certification and testing according to DIN standards. As I use only products from renowned manufacturers such as POLYTECH, you also benefit from high-quality, cohesive silicone gel that is leak-proof and shape-stable, as well as a lifetime guarantee on the implant itself.
However, not every implant on the market meets these standards. For this reason, I only work with manufacturers whose production chain and material quality are fully and transparently documented. In combination with clean surgical technique, high hygiene standards and close aftercare, the risk of complications can be kept very low.
When can I do sports again after the operation?
Immediately after the operation, light movement such as walks or climbing stairs is expressly encouraged, as it promotes blood circulation and prevents thrombosis. Strenuous sporting activities, on the other hand, should be paused for about six weeks so that the tissue around the implant can heal undisturbed.
Light endurance training such as jogging or cycling is usually possible again after about four weeks, provided healing is unremarkable. Strength training for the upper body and sports that put a lot of strain on the chest muscles, however, should only be resumed after the full six weeks. During this time, I recommend consistently wearing a sports bra, which provides stability and protection for four to six weeks depending on the implant type. We agree the exact schedule individually at the follow-up appointments according to how you are healing.
Can breast augmentation cause me to lose sensation in my breasts?
Temporary changes in sensation in the breast and nipples occasionally occur after breast augmentation, but in the vast majority of cases they are reversible. They typically appear as slight numbness or increased sensitivity, which resolves on its own within weeks to months once the fine sensory nerve fibers have regenerated.
Permanent loss of sensation is very rare and depends, among other things, on the incision technique chosen. The inframammary fold approach I prefer is particularly gentle on the nerve branches responsible for nipple sensation, which is why such complications are an exception in my practice.
What are the risks of breast augmentation?
Like any surgical procedure, breast augmentation involves certain risks, which I explain to you comprehensively and honestly before the operation. In the first few weeks, temporary swelling, slight redness and changes in skin sensitivity are typical side effects that resolve on their own as healing progresses. Numbness in the breast or nipples can also occur at first and usually subsides within a few weeks to months.
Rarer but known complications include capsular contracture, i.e. hardening of the connective tissue capsule around the implant, as well as infections or displacement of the implant over time. The use of high-quality polyurethane-coated implants, the highest hygiene standards and my preferred surgical technique have been shown to reduce these risks. With breast augmentation using autologous fat, specific aspects include partial fat resorption and minor irregularities in distribution. In the personal informational consultation, I go into all relevant points in detail so that you can make your decision on a well-founded basis.
Which breast augmentation method is right for me?
Which method is best suited to you individually can only be reliably assessed after a thorough examination and a personal consultation. There are basically three options: classic breast augmentation with silicone implants, augmentation with autologous fat and the so-called hybrid method, which combines both.
Implants are the method of choice when a significant increase in volume is desired or when the breast has a shape abnormality such as a tubular shape. Autologous fat treatment, on the other hand, is particularly suitable for slight augmentation of around one cup size, for compensating minor asymmetries or for fine corrections to the shape of the breast. The hybrid variant is an option when an implant is to provide the basic volume and autologous fat ensures particularly soft, natural transitions. In my consultation, I take the time to find the right approach together with you, one that suits your build, your tissue and your desired result.
What breast implant shapes are there?
Breast implants are essentially divided into round and anatomical, i.e. teardrop-shaped, implants. Round implants distribute the volume evenly upwards and downwards, which is particularly advantageous when a pronounced cleavage is desired. With their teardrop silhouette, anatomical implants imitate the natural shape of the breast, in which the volume is more pronounced in the lower pole than in the upper.
Within these two basic shapes, there are numerous variants in height, width and projection that allow individual adaptation to your chest and your ideal. With POLYTECH, I have the most extensive range of implants in the industry at my disposal, so I can select the right implant for almost every anatomical situation. Which shape is an option for you depends on your breast shape, your skin quality and, of course, your aesthetic wishes.
Which implant size is right for me?
The right implant size cannot be determined from tables or standard values but always results from the individual interplay of chest width, skin condition, existing glandular tissue and your personal wishes. For this reason, in the consultation I first take precise measurements of your breasts and then provide you with trial implants of various volumes that you can try on directly in front of the mirror.
In my experience, this practical fitting has proven to be much more meaningful than digital 3D simulations, because it gives you a realistic feel for the later volume. Should your tissue not be sufficient for a particular desired volume or carry the risk of visible implant edges, I will point this out openly and suggest alternatives. In the end, you make the decision, but I support you with my experience so that the result is both harmonious and stable in the long term.
